ARTIST STATEMENT – ANDREW NACK | CALI NATION

Andrew Nack
Music saved me.
There were times in my life when I didn’t know how to express what I was feeling, when the weight of emotions, confusion, pain, and hope all collided inside me. Writing songs became my way out — my therapy, my release, my truth. Every chord, every lyric is a piece of my story.
Cali Nation was born from that need to feel, to heal, and to connect. It’s where reggae’s warmth meets rock’s raw edge — a reflection of the balance I search for in life. Peace and chaos. Light and shadow. Strength and vulnerability. I don’t write from theory or trend. I write from experience.
Some songs come from heartbreak. Some from love. Some from moments when I felt lost, and others from the clarity that followed. I let it all pour out, because I believe honesty is what people connect with most. If I’m going to stand on a stage and sing, it has to be real. No masks. No filters. Just truth.
When I perform, I’m not just playing music — I’m reliving memories, releasing emotion, and opening myself up completely. That moment of connection between artist and audience is sacred to me. It’s where healing happens, where strangers become family, where energy turns into something bigger than all of us.
Cali Nation is my heart in musical form. It’s my struggle, my growth, my faith, my fire. My purpose is to create music that makes people feel seen, understood, and alive. If even one person finds strength, hope, or comfort in these songs, then everything I’ve poured into this journey is worth it.
