oats

Monday through Friday I eat oatmeal for breakfast. I used to eat a giant breakfast burrito everyday but realized there may be a better, healthier, more cost effective alternative. Although oatmeal is definitely not the best tasting most savory breakfast,  it’s not bad with some ground cinnamon and a tablespoon of local honey (which together may provide their own health benefits). And when the stars have aligned I might be able to add something else to it like fresh bananas, strawberries, some granola, a teaspoon of peanut butter,  dried cranberries or anythign else that might dress up it’s bland slop like texture. I heard someone mention flax seed as an additive and after researching the health benefits I may have to give that a shot too.  I have also heard that oats help with lowering cholesterol, helps prevent heart decease, gives you energy/protein, and keeps the metabolism moving. So that why I chose oatmeal as a healthy breakfast.
