For whatever reason tracking guitar overdubs is always last on my list. But now it’s time to button it up and get this album done. So far my preferred method had been trial and error.
Tonight the best method was as follows:
The freshly strung main axe into the modded ds1, to the hot rod deluxe turned up just enough, with a 421 a few feet back to capture the tip of the flame into the pm1000 pre with jensen output, into the converter. Ten or so takes spread out over four tracks of overdubbed guitar and “Dead End Street” is ready to be mixed. This is the working class way to record some git-tar. 4 more songs worth of axe to lay and it’s time for some mixing mayhem. Can’t wait to share these next 14 tracks with the world.
